Wow - the interior of the space rocks. I ordered the Goat Cheese Naan for a takeout dinner. It was huge and delicious. The staff members were all very sweet. I've heard the food here was phenomenal & the goat cheese Naan lived up to the hype !!! Highly recommend Jalwa!!!

Jalwa is always the best restaurants in Montclair! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service is excellent. thank you to Nayen for helping us pick the perfect dishes he was super friendly. The Lamb Chops and Lasuni Gobi were absolutely top-notch! Highly recommend Jalwa for an amazing Indian dining experience!

We ordered a delightful assortment of dishes, including samosa chat, palak chat, lasuni gobi, truffle grilled mushrooms, pickled mushrooms, lamb korma, garlic naan, rosemary naan, chilli garlic naan, alloo paratha, rasmalai, mango ice cream, and kulfi ice cream. Each dish was a culinary delight, and the staff was incredibly pleasant and welcoming, making our dining experience truly enjoyable.

Drawing its inspiration from North Indian cuisine, offering a world-class a la carte menu. The menu pays tribute to traditional Indian dishes and recipes but crafted and delivered in a way that will leave you wanting to try more. What we tried Appetizers Chicken Bao Fish Tikka Honey chilli Lotus Main course Dal Bukhara( USP) Methi Paneer Malai Toast Goan Fish Curry Garlic naan Goat cheese naan Rice Desserts Rasmalai Malai Pista Kulfi With amazing modern interiors and such authentic food, Jalwa Modern Indian dining successfully carries the mantle of North Indian Province cuisine in the only way it can. I get my hair done close by and just being a few storefronts away this place smells amazing. My stylist told me he eats here a lot and that it was great, so was happy to finally check it out. The experience did not disappoint. Service, atmosphere, and food were on point. Food was so good I ate too much, but it was worth it. With two of us ordering two appetizers, two entrees, bread and mango chutney we left without having dessert as we just had no room, plus we left with plenty of leftovers as well. The vegetarian and vegan options were clearly marked which is always appreciated for those with dietary and allergy restrictions. Looking forward to our next visit to check out more of the dishes they offer.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and had a wonderful experience. I tried a few vegetarian options, and the Lasooni Gobi stood out — it was perfectly crispy and absolutely delicious. The ambiance of the place is warm and inviting, with plenty of space for dine-in guests, making it a comfortable spot for both small and large groups. The staff was very cordial and attentive, and the food arrived quickly, which added to the overall positive experience. We had lunch at Jalwa in Montclair and it was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely top-notch flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. We ordered Chicken Korma and Goan Fish Curry lunch specials were especially delicious. Hands down the best place to have lunch in Montclair, Highly recommend!

The environment was authentic with a flair of spice. The servers were genuine and careful with their explanation of their menu meals. The food was delicious and small portioned but full of spices and very full filling. It was a small place, and at the time of our visit it was full of people enjoying the food and atmosphere. The music was somewhat loud where we sat at the back of the restaurant as we chose for privacy. It was a mix of Pakistani/ Indian techno music which I really liked. It was the weekend and we did not have a reservation and were able to sit and eat at the last minute and were treated kindly by staff. To get to the bathroom at the back was like a maze and the walls to the hallway were painted black, kind of spooky but cool at the very same time ladies bathroom was clean.... Enjoy!
